Managers have different styles for giving presentations,
depending on their personality, the content of the presentation,
the audience and their skill. Some are better than others,
but one I recommend using as a model presentation is the
launch of iPhone in 2007 by Steve Jobs.
I do so for three reasons :
Firstly, as you will see in the short clip below, he starts with
a brief history of the company's products and their impact
on the market. He does so even though there is probably not a
person in the world who is not familiar with them,
so I suggest you begin your presentation by giving
some background.
Secondly, he introduces the new product using an original,
creative and interesting technique, almost like a teaser !
Try to present your product or service in an usual way that will
get people's attention and so increase your chances of
making the sale / doing the deal / winning the contract.
Finally, he ends this part of his presentation with a mission
statement.
Click on the picture below to link to the 2:30 minute clip and
learn from the master !! By the way, I have added English
subtitles to make it easy to follow :
*** The clip was downloaded from one of many versions openly available on
YouTube and edited with subtitles for study purposes. I do not own the copyright.
I hope this will provide you with some inspiration
for your next presentation !
Good Luck !
